Home / QC checklist

Check the details before you approve the order.

Keep this open while you compare product pages and warehouse photos. The goal is simple: confirm the item, confirm the size, and catch problems before shipping.

Universal checks

Use this checklist after you find a promising item in a Litbuy spreadsheet or category page. The spreadsheet helps you discover products; QC is where you decide whether the item is still worth approving.

  1. Confirm the product page still loads and the listing has not changed.
  2. Compare title, variant, color, and size against what you intended to buy.
  3. Look for multiple QC angles, not one flattering front photo.
  4. Check measurements against an item you already own. Guessing from model photos is where many fit mistakes begin.
  5. Keep screenshots of the listing and QC photos until the order is finished.

Photo checks that actually matter

Good QC photos should make the item easy to judge. You want clear lighting, straight angles, detail shots, and at least one photo that shows scale. If the item has logos, tags, hardware, stitching, print placement, or texture, those details need their own close-up.

Photo typeWhat it should proveWeak signal
Front and backThe item shape, color, print placement, and overall construction match the listing.Only one angle or heavy shadow.
Close-up detailsStitching, labels, hardware, texture, zipper, outsole, or print edges are visible.Detail photos are missing or blurry.
Measurement photosChest, waist, inseam, sole length, or bag dimensions can be checked against your notes.Measurements are typed only, with no photo support.
Variant confirmationThe color, size, and selected option match what you ordered.Listing has many variants and the QC photos do not identify yours.

Checks by item type

CategoryWhat to inspectCommon miss
ShoesToe shape, heel tab, outsole, pair symmetry, label, size tag.Only checking the side profile.
BagsHardware finish, zipper, strap joins, interior, dimensions.Ignoring inside photos and scale.
HoodiesFabric weight, cuff, hood shape, print position, shoulder width.Assuming a heavy-looking photo means heavy fabric.
AccessoriesFinish, clasp, logo placement when relevant, actual measurements.Over-trusting tiny thumbnails.
PantsWaist, rise, inseam, leg opening, wash, fabric drape.Reading only the tagged waist size.

Measurement checks

Measure an item you already own before judging the QC photos. This gives you a real benchmark. For tops, compare chest width, shoulder width, body length, and sleeve length. For pants, compare waist, rise, inseam, thigh, and leg opening. For shoes, confirm the size system and check the outsole or insole measurement when available.

If the seller chart, product page, and QC measurement do not agree, slow down. The right response is not to guess; it is to request clarification or choose a listing with cleaner information.

When to pass

Skip it when the listing is vague, the warehouse photos do not answer your main concern, or the sizing details conflict with the seller page. Also pass when a defect appears in the area you care about most. A product can be popular and still be wrong for your order.

A useful rule: if you need to explain away a flaw before buying, you will probably notice it more after the item arrives. Keep browsing unless the evidence is clear enough to make the decision boring.
